The session, 'The World of Washington Lobbyists,’ was organized to strengthen corporate policy response capabilities amid growing uncertainty in the US administration. Its primary goal is to provide Korean participants—many of whom are unfamiliar with lobbying practices, as lobbying is not legally permitted in Korea—with an opportunity to better understand the role of lobbyists and lobbying firms, and to learn how they operate in Washington, D.C. The session will be moderated by Shin Woo-jin, a partner at Nelson Mullins, a prominent Washington-based lobbying firm. Participants include Jim Moran, a former Democratic congressman who served 12 terms in the U.S. House of Representatives from Virginia, and Robert Wexler, who served as a Democratic Member of Congress for Florida from 1997 to 2010 and is currently a partner at Ballard Partners, will also participate as a panelist. #lobbyist Copyright ⓒ Maeil Business Newspaper.
