Consent to Collection and Use of Personal Information (Required)

MAEIL BUSINESS collects and uses your personal information for the World Knowledge Forum. You have the right to refuse consent to this collection and use. However, if you do not agree to the collection and use of the required items, your registration for the World Knowledge Forum and issuance of access badges may be restricted. Even if you do not consent to the collection and use of optional items, you can still participate in the event.

1. Items of Personal Information Collected

• Required Items: Participation Code, Name (Given Name, Family Name), Organization/Institution, Job Title, E-mail, Tel, Mobile Phone
• Optional Items: Gender

2. Purpose of Collection and Use of Personal Information

• Verification of World Knowledge Forum participation codes, participant registration management, identity verification, and participant statistical analysis (applicable only to optional items).
• Issuance of name cards and access badges for event attendance, and on-site operation guidelines.

3. Period of Retention and Use of Personal Information

• Personal information will be retained for 3 years after the end of the event and then destroyed without delay.
• However, if it is necessary to preserve the information pursuant to the provisions of relevant laws and regulations (such as the Act on the Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce, etc.), it will be stored for the period specified below:
    o Records on contracts or withdrawal of subscription, etc.: 5 years (Act on the Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce)
    o Records on payment and supply of goods, etc.: 5 years (Act on the Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce)
    o Records on customer disputes or complaints processing: 3 years (Act on the Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce)

[Supplementary Provisions]
This Personal Information Collection and Use Agreement shall take effect on July 13, 2026.
