Capturing carbon dioxide from the atmosphere at climate-relevant scale
Technology 2023-02-09

Carbon dioxide emissions continue to grow year after year, driving atmospheric temperatures to rise. Major scientific assessments have confirmed that, alongside widespread and accelerated emissions reductions, the world will need to remove vast amounts of carbon dioxide from the atmosphere if we are to limit warming to safe levels. Fortunately, a suite of carbon removal solutions exists today - including Direct Air Capture (DAC) technology, which uses large, industrial fans to capture carbon dioxide directly from the air. In this session, Doug Rae, Vice President of climate solutions company, Carbon Engineering, will share insights on the role that DAC-based carbon removal can play in building a net zero future and the regional economic opportunities that follow commercial deployment. #netzero #carboncapture #CCUS ☆ WKF | http://www.wkforum.org/WKF/2021/kr/ ☆ Instagram | https://www.instagram.com/worldknowledgeforum/ ☆ Youtube│https://www.youtube.com/wkforum ✻ World Knowledge Forum's lecture contents are copyrighted by Maekyung Media Group.
