Executive Vice President, International Operations, Schneider Electric Member of the Executive Committee, Schneider Electric Luc Remont is Executive Vice President, International Operations, in charge of South America, Africa and Middle East, India, and East Asia Japan & Pacific, since April 2017 and Member of the Executive Committee of Schneider Electric since July 2015. Luc began his career in 1993 as an engineer at the French Defence Procurement Agency (DGA). In 1996, he joined the French Ministry of the Economy, Finance and Industry. He held several positions there, first in the Treasury department where he supervised relationships with multilateral development banks (EBRD, World Bank), and government equity interests in transportation companies. He then served as advisor then deputy chief of staff to French Ministers of Economy, Finance and Industry from 2002 to 2007 covering shareholding, financial markets and industrial matters. He joined Merrill Lynch bank in 2007 and became country executive and managing director of the Corporate and Investment Bank at Bank of America Merrill Lynch in France in 2009. In July 2014, he joined Schneider Electric as President of Schneider Electric France. Moreover, from March 2015 to May 2018, Luc was Chairman of Gimelec, which brings together 230 French companies providing power and automation solutions for the energy, building, industry and infrastructure markets. Luc graduated from the Ecole Polytechnique. He holds an engineering degree from Ecole Nationale Superieure des Techniques Avancees (Ensta) and a Master of Science in Artificial Intelligence from Paris VI University.
