‘UNICEF’, established to support children around the world in the spirit of "Relief without Discrimination", celebrated its 75th anniversary. Based on its field experience and expertise, they have saved many children's lives with a lesser budget and has been working closely with governments to fundamentally improve children's lives more effectively and broadly. But even for UNICEF, COVID-19 was a huge challenge. The pandemic was especially harsh for children. Children were even more starving, sick children could not be treated, and their dreams of education could not be fulfilled, as the schools were shut down. Moreover, children's daily lives have shifted online, due to the increase in online classes. Inevitably, the amount of time children spend online has increased as well. However, the online environment was not prepared to warmly embrace the children who were driven to it. As children's daily lives shifted online, the risks that children face have increased. The risks are going to soar unless we fully understand them and provide a safe environment for them. As a way to overcome this, UNICEF proposes the concept of a ‘Child-Friendly Corporation’ and urges companies to actively discuss child protection in the online environment. It is us, the adults' responsibility, to pay attention and make efforts so that all children can grow up in a healthy online environment. #SiwonChoi #UNICEF #OnlineAbuse #ChildProtection ☆ WKF | http://www.wkforum.org/WKF/2021/kr/ ☆ Facebook | https://www.facebook.com/WorldKnowledgeForum/ ☆ Instagram | https://www.instagram.com/worldknowledgeforum/ ☆ Youtube│https://www.youtube.com/wkforum ✻ World Knowledge Forum's lecture contents are copyrighted by Maekyung Media Group.
