Three Winners Picked for The 5th Fifth ASEAN Entrepreneur Award at WKF


Maeil Business Newspaper and ASEAN-Korea Centre picked Rachmat Kaimuddin, CEO of Indonesia’s e-commerce firm Bukalapak; Pham Nam Long, CEO of Vietnamese logistics company Abivin; and Nang Kham Noung, deputy chief CEO of Myanmar’s KBZ Bank as winners of the fifth ASEAN Entrepreneur Award. The award ceremony will be held on September 16, the opening day of the 21st World Knowledge Forum, at Shilla Hotel in central Seoul. 

Rachmat Kaimuddin is leading the Indonesia’s biggest e-commerce platform that is also one of the four unicorn startups whose corporate value exceeds $1 billion. He will speak about changes in the retail industry in the COVID-19 era and give advice to businesses on how to promote co-growth with small merchants at the forum.  


Pham Nam Long who founded the logistics service startup Abivin Vietnam Co. in 2015 has been credited for enhancing logistics efficiency by using algorithm and artificial intelligence technology to optimize shipping route on complex roads in Vietnam. 

Nang Kham Noung has been spearheading KBZ Bank’s digital transformation and its online payment platform KBZ Pay business. 

The ASEAN Entrepreneur Award was established by the Maeil Business Newspaper in 2016 to help strengthen networking between ASEAN and Korean businesses. The award has been co-hosted with the ASEAN KOREA CENTRE since 2018.
